These three young men, Sam, Colton, and Ethan, needed to earn community service hours as part of their commitment to their Energy Athletics travel baseball team. They visited the Oxford Ecumenical Food Shelf to learn about how we distribute a variety of food – with a focus on healthy foods – to our clientele. 

Then made a list of suggested food items needed by the Food Shelf and prepared and distributed flyers to their friends, neighbors, and families of their baseball team members. This picture shows the food collected by the boys. The three then learned how to date-check donated food items and placed all checked items on the appropriate shelves of the food pantry. We are grateful to these young men for their praise-worthy efforts.
