Facts about Hunger in Oxford

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE GROCERIES BEING DISTRIBUTED IN OXFORD

The "Oxford Ecumenical Council" and the "Oxford Food Shelf" have been
providing "FREE" groceries to families in Oxford for over 45 years.

In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Oxford Food Shelf distributed FREE groceries during 2,257 family visits. 

The family members included:
  •        75  family members ages 0 to 4
  •  1,454  family members ages 5 to 17
  •  2,787  family members ages 18 to 64
  •  1,287  family members ages 65 or older

  Number of family visits to the Oxford Food Shelf for monthly groceries.
